I have a life long love for photography...

At 16 I was fortunate enough to be accepted on a Digital and Film Photography A Level course. From there my passion for photography grew. My parents bought me my first film camera to use alongside my digital cameras. I loved developing film and experimenting with digital editing. Looking towards the future I decided I wanted to teach and so took a BA Hons degree in Primary Education QTS at Edge Hill University. I continued developing my photography as an enthusiast. I couldn't leave the arts behind completely and chose to specialise in creative and expressive arts allowing me to incorporate my photography into my degree!

Fast forward twelve years and after teaching in an Outstanding primary school, co-ordinating Art and Design, and being a part of the Senior Leadership Team I decided my time in teaching was coming to an end. I knew I wanted to pursue my dream. In February 2020 I invested in new photography equipment with the idea of creating my business. The following month the pandemic hit. I started photographing families, couples, children, and individuals to raise money for the NHS during the first Covid-19 lockdown. With the incredible support from my wonderful husband, family and friends, I made the leap into professional photography full-time. I created my social media pages, website, branding, and haven't looked back! I am extremely grateful for my wonderfully supportive client base. They have enabled my business to grow beyond what I had hoped for in such a short space of time. I have built a solid reputation, with many of my clients coming to me through word of mouth.

In 2021, my husband and I tied the knot, and it was an incredible experience planning our wedding together. Being involved in the process gave me a firsthand understanding of the joy and challenges that come with organising such a special day.

The following year, in 2022, we welcomed our beautiful daughter into the world. Becoming parents is an absolute delight, filled with countless memorable moments and a love like no other. The value of a photograph, especially seeing her change from week to week, is priceless.

My style is candid, capturing moments as naturally as possible. I love documenting those special, once-in-a-lifetime moments; engagements, weddings, maternity and more. I have a relaxed approach to shooting. I really don’t enjoy being in front of the camera myself! And so empathise completely with clients that are a little shy or feel slightly awkward having their photo taken. I hope to put clients at ease making the experience as enjoyable as possible

I would like to extend my gratitude to local media (Your North West Wedding, The Lancashire Post and St Helens Star) for publishing my work. I am fortunate enough to have had my work chosen to be on the cover of three issues of Your North West Wedding Magazine and on the front of the Lancashire Post.

I have been nominated as the North West 'Female Photographer' through County Brides '24. Thank you to my wonderful brides and grooms who have voted for me!

If you’re thinking of wedding photography, documenting a special day, or simply just treating yourself or a loved one, give me a shout. I look forward to hearing from you!
